This Frightened Me Badly

     Not the image itself:

     …but rather that not for one second did I imagine it to be a parody. That’s how far the once-vaunted New York Times has fallen from its previous state of grace.

     Time was, readers trusted the Times’s reporting to be factual and accurate, but expected the left-wing slant of the Opinion section and accounted for it ab initio. Today, there’s no part of the paper – not excepting the financial reports nor the Sunday supplement – that’s not engineered to lead the reader toward the Left. It is wholly a propaganda organ.

     And so one of the great institutions of information, which proudly and deservedly styled itself the paper of record, has consigned itself to the ash-heap of journalistic history.
